Brief Summary

Tamak swash is the most common non communicable respiratory disease affecting all age group of both sex .It is considered as a Bronchial asthma in modern science. Tamak swash is increasing due to excessive pollution and overcrowding. The clinical features of Tamak swash are Shwasa (Breathlessness), Kasa (Cough), Kapha Nishkasan (Expectoration), Kanth Ghurghur (Wheezing), Urogurutwa (Heaviness of Chest), Shopha (Edema), Asinolabhtesaukhyam etc. Ayurveda classics and Yoga describes wide range of medicines and breathing techniques in the treatment of Shwasa Roga. In Charak samihita, much emphasis is given on the role of Pushkarmool in Swash treatment. According to Yoga Bhastrika Pranayama quickly arouses kundalini,It is pleasant and beneficial, and removes obstruction due to excess mucus accumulated at the entrance to brahma nadi and that produces many systemic and psychological effects in the body, specifically on the respiratory system ,it is considered best for the treatment of Tamak swash. So a clinical study will be conducted on probable case of Tamak swash for the period of 60 days. Patients will be divided into two groups ,Each group consists of 50 patients. Group A will be treated with Ayurvedic medicine Phuskarmool churan, Group B will be treated with Phuskarmool and Bhastrika pranayam. Observation on parameters will be done on 0th,15th,30th,45th,60th Day of the treatment .Analysis of symptoms will be done statistically on the basis of results obtained in objectives and subjective parameters. Conclusion will be done on the basis of analysis of the data obtained .
