Brief Summary

Nurses are  the primary carers at the patient’s bedside and are responsible for monitoring, managing, and providing support to critically sick patients, nurses work in the most challenging environments 12

Determining the relationship between abnormal blood gas results and a patient’s overall clinical condition is a common challenge for nurses. Nurses must comprehend the process underpinning acid-base balance as well as the typical cause of acid-base imbalance in order to face this challenge very high accuracy rate in the diagnosis and management of patients with chronic diseases.

In many faculties around the country and around the world, budgets for innovation in teaching and learning are limited. This does not only apply to the acquisition of new equipment, but also to the amount of human resources dedicated to educate nursing students. Therefore, nursing educators should take into consideration that successful educational strategies must focus on the equal development of the cognitive, psychomotor and attitudinal domains of competence .

There is no research carried out on effectiveness of simulation based method of teaching upon ABG Analysis and Interpretation. So , considering this problem, researcher is interested to conduct this study to assess the Effectiveness of  Traditional Teaching Vs Simulation Based Method of Teaching upon ABG Analysis and Interpretation Competencies among Nursing Students.
