AIMS AND OBJECTIVES AIM: -
To Find out the effectiveness of Swiss ball training on Selected Motor Components
Among Collegiate Badminton Players. OBJECTIVE: -
To examine the effect of Swiss ball training on core endurance among collegiate
badminton player by Mc gill’s Torso Muscular Endurance Test. To examine the effect of Swiss ball training on dynamic balance among collegiate
badminton player by Y- Balance test. To examine the effect of Swiss ball training on agility among collegiate badminton
player by modified agility T- test. To examine the effect of Swiss ball training on strength among collegiate badminton
player by vertical jump test. To examine the effect of badminton specific training on core endurance among
collegiate badminton player by Mc gill’s Torso Muscular Endurance Test. To examine the effect of badminton specific training on dynamic balance among
collegiate badminton player by Y- Balance test. To examine the effect of badminton specific training on agility among collegiate
badminton player by modified agility T- test. To examine the effect of badminton specific training on strength among collegiate
badminton player by vertical jump test. To compare the effect of Swiss ball training and badminton specific training on core
endurance among collegiate badminton player by Mc gill’s Torso Muscular Endurance
Test. To compare the effect of Swiss ball training and badminton specific training on

HYPOTHESIS NULL HYPOTHESIS (H0): H0¹- There will be no statistically significant effect of Swiss ball training on core
endurance among collegiate badminton players. H0²- There will be no statistically significant effect of Swiss ball training on dynamic
balance among collegiate badminton players. H0³- There will be no statistically significant effect of Swiss ball training on agility
among collegiate badminton players. H0â´- There will be no statistically significant effect of Swiss ball training on strength
among collegiate badminton players. H05
- There will be no statistically significant effect of badminton specific training on
core endurance among collegiate badminton players. H06
- There will be no statistically significant effect of badminton specific training on
Dynamic balance among collegiate badminton players. H07
- There will be no statistically significant effect of badminton specific training on

METHODOLOGY • Study design: Interventional Study • Study setting: various collage of Ahmedabad • Sampling technique: purposive Sampling • Sample size: Calculate with the help of formula • Intervention duration: 4weeks (3 session per week)
MATERIAL AND APPARATUS : Consent form , Swiss ball , Mat , Stool , Stop watch , Measurement tape , Pen , Paper , Chalk , Stick , Cone
INCLUSION CRITERIA • Age Group 18 to 25 Years • Male and female both will include. • Players who will play badminton 6 hours per week from last 1 year minimum. • Players who want to participate willingly.
EXCLUSION CRITERIA • Participants will having any complaint of musculoskeletal conditions from past 3 months. • Participants who will suffering from neurological, cardiovascular, giddiness or balance
disorders were excluded. • Any surgery last 6 months. • The participants will involve in any type of Swiss ball training or strength training at the
time of the study.
OUTCOME MEASURES
Core endurance: McGill core endurance test i. Side bridge test (SBT) ii. Abdominal fatigue test (AFT) iii. Back-extensor test (BET)
DYNAMIC BALANCE Y- Balance test
AGILITY Modified agility T-test
STRENGTH Vertical jump test
PROCEDURE Ethical clearance will be taken from the ethical committee of the institute. Informed written consent will be obtained. Participants will be the screened for the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Subjects meeting the inclusion criteria will be recruited and will be allocated into study. Both the group will be given training respectively 3 training session per week for 4 weeks.
