Intervention  Modified SONAS-programme  The Modified - Sonas Programme is a multi-sensory therapy. There will be three sessions of the Modified - Sonas Programme at the interval of 3 days. The common goal of these sessions will be to stop the progression of dementia and strive to improve the condition with stimulation of the senses. The session content will be supported by activating the senses of touch, observing, tasting, smell, and hearing. Each session will be conducted for 30 minutes. 
Comparator Agent  Telephonic Interaction   Telephonic interaction calls will be arranged to ask the wellbeing and show concern to the affected older persons having dementia

Brief Summary  

The study will help to determine the effect of Modified Sonas Programme on old age persons. Efficacy of Modified Sonas Programme will be tested on the old age persons affected with dementia and will contribute to improve their cognition, communication and quality of life. The researcher was motivated from the existing literature to find out the effect of Modified Sonas programme with desired changed according to the culture and preferences of target population in Indian setting. This study will help to generate an evidence to use this cost effective, less time consuming and easy to practice "Modified Sonas Programme" for the improvement of cognition, communication and psychological wellbeing of older persons with dementia.
