Brief Summary
|
Badminton is highly complex sport and presents great
challenges for players and coaches of all levels. Players need to exhibit
sudden bursts of speed when taking or returning shorts, as well as demonstrating
skillfull coordination in hitting, directing and placing the shuttlecock. For correct
swift movement, players must maintain good physical conditioning. Physical
fitness serves as a fundamental prerequisite and integral component for attaining
and enhancing badminton performance, consequently players require physical
fitness training to optimize their achievements. It has been proved that resistance
band training has improved physical condition abilities, which includes balance,
agility, speed, flexibility and throwing capacity (Manihuruk, 2023). Keeping in
mind all the above physical demands, the present study aims to find out the effect
of resistance band training and circuit training on physical performance of badminton
players. At present, very few studies
have mentioned the effect of resistance band training on badminton players as
well as effect of circuit training on physical performance of badminton
players. However, none of the studies has focused on combined effect of resistance
band training and circuit training on physical performance of badminton players
such as balance, flexibility, throwing capacity, agility and speed. The present
study intends to explore the combined effect of circuit training and resistance
band training on various parameters which are balance, agility, speed,
flexibility and throwing capacity. |
