Brief Summary   Advances in medical field has rendered many previously untreatable health conditions as treatable and has led to better control of advancing illnesses.but some health conditions remain practically in curable and need symptomatic support and palliative care.such patients get admitted in the ICU with either already defined palliative care needs or found to have one in the course of treatment continue to stay in ICU and these beds are rendered unavailable to salvageable patients.Hence this study aims to find the potential number of intensive care unit bed days lost to patients with palliative care needs and try to explore the reason behind it.
