2. The presence of at least one care giver.

Brief Summary
|
BACKGROUND:
Hospitalization is stressful condition for children of all age groups. Paediatric patients are often subjected to unexpected medical procedures that cause pain,worry, stress and anxiety. Anxiety disorders are more common in pre-schooler.Children who are hospitalized is usually segregated by care requirements or age or by both. Children’s need can be classified under three main headings: Adequate provision of care; protection from any physical danger and protection from a psychologically threatening environment
PURPOSES / OBJECTIVES: 1. To assess the level of anxiety among pre-schoolers who are hospitalized before and after administering art therapy . 2. To determine the effectiveness of art therapy among the pre-schoolers who are hospitalized. 3. To determine the association between the level of anxiety with demographic variables. PROJECTED OUTCOME: 1. Art therapy will improve the level of anxiety among pre-schooler hospitalized children. A Study is done to see the effectiveness of art therapy on reduction of anxiety in pre schooler children during hospitalisation. |
