Brief Summary
|
Background In India, cancer accounts for 9% of all deaths and the number of cases reported for the year 2020 was 1,392,179. From the recent 2022 reports of ICMR-NCDIR-NCRP data, it is observed that there is a steep 2-fold rise in the cancer burden in India with a projected alarming rise by 12% between 2020 – 2025.
There is a need for Observational and real world data on the utility of Ayurveda in cancer care alongside deeper mechanistic studies
AIM: Systematic documentation and evaluation of outcomes of cancer patients volunteering at an Ayurveda hospital OBJECTIVES: • Measuring quality of life changes in cancer patients using globally accepted tools of measurement. • Measuring progression rate of solid tumours • Analysing Health seeking behaviour of Cancer patients. • To evaluate the outcomes of cancer management at I-AIM through retrospective data analysis
