Brief Summary   SOCKET PRESERVATION: Socket preservation or alveolar ridge preservation is a procedure to reduce bone loss after tooth extraction After tooth extraction, the jaw bone has a natural tendency to become narrow, and lose its original shape because the bone quickly resorbs, resulting in 30–60% loss in bone volume in the first six months. Bone loss, can compromise the ability to replace the tooth or its aesthetic and functional ability.

Demineralized freeze-dried bone allograft (DFDBA) Is a graft composed of demineralized bone matrix It is effective in the reconstruction of bone defects and has also demonstrated osteo inductive properties. When implanted in bone that is already well-vascularized, it has the ability to stimulate cell attachment, cell migration, and osteogenesis. It causes new bone formation to take place during healing and is a commonly used material for bone enhancement and bone development processes.

Probiotics are used to help in the recolonization of beneficial bacteria as well as to modulate the immune response. They have been stated to help in wound healing also. They are available in the form of gels, lozenges, tablets and chewing gum.
