Comparator Agent  Oral Medications and Physiotherapy   Tab Aceclofenac 100mg with Paracetamol 325mg for 3 days followed by Tab Paracetamol 650mg 8 hourly for 5 days and then sos Tab Calcium 500mg twice daily for 6 weeks Sachet Vitamin D3 6lakh IU Once a week for 8 weeks Hot Fomentation Knee Bending Exercises Quadriceps Strengthening Exercises Lateral Wedge in the shoe and Heel Lifestyle modifications 
Intervention  Proximal Fiblar Osteotomy   A segment of 2cm of fibula will be removed between 8 to 12 cm away from head of fibula on the affected side under spinal anaesthesia and patient will be mobilized from the day after surgery

Brief Summary   Osteoarthritis is a prevalent and debilitating ailment worldwide, of which knee osteoarthritis constitutes a significant percentage and presents with symptoms that impair quality of life,including pain, stiffness, dysfunction  and even deformity. 
In this study, Patients of early osteoarthritis will be divided in the 2 groups. One group will be given conservative management in the form of oral medications, physiotherapy and lifestyle modifications, Second group will recieve operative management in the form of proximal fibular osteotomy. 
Results of both the managements will be compared in the form of reduction of pain, improved knee joint range of movement and radiological evaluation.
