Brief Summary   Study conducted in 120 parturient ( excluding exclusion criteria) undergoing LSCS. Informed consent will be taken from patients. Detailed history and investigations will be checked.patient will be shifted to OT, monitors attached. Vitals will be noted. Hip circumference, waist circumference, shoulder width, height, weight noted. Sub arachnoid block given with inj Bupivaccaine 0.5% heavy 2 ml for all patients in lateral position. Patients made to lie in supine position with left lateral displacement. Spinal level checked every 1 minute for 5 minutes and then every 5 minutes for 30 minutes. Surgeon allowed to proceed once level become T6. Vitals are also monitored every 3 minutes and noted.
Hip shoulder width ratio and waist-shoulder width ratio calculated.
Objective to determine the correlation between hip shoulder width ratio and sensory level in sub arachnoid block and to determine any correlation between waist-shoulder width ratio and sensory level in sub arachnoid block. Also to ascertain whether hip shoulder width ratio or waist shoulder width ratio is a better predictor of cephalad spread of sub arachnoid block.
