Intervention  Endotracheal intubation for general anaesthesia   Intravenous nalbuphine (0.2 mg/kg) versus fentanyl (2 mcg/kg) before endotracheal intubation was given and response to endotracheal intubation was assessed during the intra operative period.  
Comparator Agent  Fentanyl  Injection fentanyl 2 mcg/kg IV prior to endotracheal intubation.  
Comparator Agent  Nalbuphine  Injection nalbuphine 0.2 mg/kg IV prior to endotracheal intubation.

Details  1 Patients belonging to ASA grade 1 or 2.
2 Patients undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia.

4 Patients undergoing emergency surgery.
5 Patients with history of allergy to opioids.
