Subjects who are systemically healthy.

Brief Summary
|
Gingival
recession is defined as the apical shift of the gingival margin with respect to
the cemento-enamel junction (CEJ), which leads to the exposure of the root
surface. In this comparative study, 20 patients of isolated gingival recession will
be selected randomly based on miller’s classification of gingival recession, 10
in each group.
Each subject will be
given a detailed verbal and written description of the study. Initial
preparation of the recipient site will include a thorough scaling and root planing. After
administration of local anaesthesia Gingival Pedicle Split Thickness (GPST)
technique begins. Deepithelialized free gingival graft will be harvested from
the palate according to the recipient bed measurements. For the preparation of
I-PRF, 10ml of blood will be drawn and centrifuged at 700 rpm for 3 minutes 13,
harvested de-epithelialized free gingival graft will be coated with I-PRF, and
then it will be inserted onto the prepared site and sutured. In the control group, the same procedure will be performed without using I-PRF. Clinical parameters will
be evaluated after 4 months. Comparison of biochemical and clinical findings
will lead to conclusive points. |
