Intervention  Mindfulness based therapy  Each session will be for around 1 hour and a total of 6 sessions will be given in 3 weeks. First session will be focused on psychoeducating the participants about the concept of mindfulness and explaining about doing versus being mode. Second session will be targeted on mindfulness of the body and breath. Third session will be about body scan meditation. Fourth session will be on Mindful movement meditation. Fifth session will be focussed on Sounds and thoughts meditation. Sixth session will be about Three minute breathing space meditation. 
Comparator Agent  Sleep hygiene education  Will receive awareness on sleep hygiene in a regular basis.

Brief Summary   Purpose: To explore the effectiveness of psychobehavioural interventions in improving the quality of sleep.

Design: Open label, Randomized controlled trial

Participants: Undergraduate medical students above the age of 18 years with poor sleep quality.

Intervention: One arm will receive mindfulness based therapy and the other arm will receive sleep hygiene education.

Main outcome measure: To assess the quality of sleep and severity of insomnia in both the arms at baseline and after providing the intervention at the end of 4 weeks and 12 weeks.
