Shigrupatra Ghanvati will be given in dose of 1 gm orally(2 tablet of 500 mg), three times a day after meal for 45 days. |

1)The patients presenting with features of Prathama Patalgata Timir (Simple Myopia) will be selected irrespective of sex, occupation, religion, etc.
2)Patients having dioptric power upto -3.0 D will be included. |

| Details |
1)The patients presenting with the features of Dwitiya, Tritiya and Chaturtha Patalgata Timir, High myopia or progressive myopia and congenital myopia will be excluded.
2)Patients having systemic disease like Tuberculosis, Diabetes mellitus, Endocrine disorders, major illness, etc. will be excluded. |

|
The inconvenience caused by the refractive aids and surgical complication have made patient seek for medical line of management which is cost effective an easy to follow. The Ayurvedic approach of the disease mainly concentrates on preventing the progression of the disease and also as curative in early stages. A Shigrupatra Ghanvati is a herbal drug, chances of causing any side effect is very less so it is safe to use. Shigru is easily available and used as vegetable in households. It is cost effective. So, a good vision promoter can be found. |
