Brief Summary
|
1.Study
will focus on finding the prevalence of
scapular dyskinesis
in computer professionals and determine the exact relation of Intrinsic
& Extrinsic factors associated with abnormal
scapular positions in computer professionals.
2.Subjects
were included as per the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Subjects that shown
their interest and given their consent will participate in the study. An
observational method (Yes/No) will used to assess scapular dyskinesis. Computer
professionals were classified into two groups. Those subjects who has
alteration in the posture and scapular kinematics (like inferior border
prominence, medial border prominence or scapular border prominence according to
the classification of scapular dyskinesis by kibler) having scapular dyskinesis
(Yes). Those subjects which did not show any scapular deviation were considered
not having scapular dyskinesis(No)(Kibler
et al 2013).
3.Various
Intrinsic factors (Forward shoulder posture, Modified lateral scapular slide
test, Rounded shoulder, Muscle length, Isometric muscle length, Posterior
capsular tightness) and Extrinsic factors (Ergonomics and stress) responsible
for abnormal posture in computer professionals with proper outcome measures
were evaluated to understand their
relations with shoulder/neck, and various scapular abnormalities in computer
professionals.
