Brief Summary
|
INTRODUCTION- All major skin disorders in Ayurveda are described under Kushtha.Acharya Charaka has mentioned Dadru under Kshudra Kushtha while Acharya Sushrut and Vagbhata has mentioned Dadru under Maha Kushtha.According to Acharya Charaka Dadru is a Pitta kapha pradhan tridoshaj vyadhi affecting all age group of population.Acharya Sushruta has mentioned Kushtha under Aupasrgika vyadhi. On the basis of symptomatology Dadru is simulated with Tinea in modern perspective, which is superficial fungal infection of the skin. NEED OF STUDY  Tinea are ubiquitous in nature and there is essentially no part of our earth where Tinea are not found.  Superficial Tinea infections are among the world’s most common diseases and the prevalence has raisen to 20 – 25% of the world’s population.  It is indeed possible that almost every human being, belonging to any race or geographical location during the course of his or her lifetime will be infected by Tinea at some point.  In India, Areas with high humidity, overcrowding, excessive sweating, wearing tight clothing with poor aeration poor hygienic conditions along with local culture practices are the predisposing factors for Tinea, Making it one of the major public health problem. So here I have decided to find out the etiopathogenesis of Dadru with special reference to Tinea corporis. HYPOTHESIS Null Hypothesis(Ho): There is no relation between Etiopathogenesis of Dadru with Tinea corporis. Alternate Hypothesis(H1): There is relation between Etiopathogenesis of Dadru with Tinea corporis |
