Brief Summary   The present study has been undertaken inorder to evaluate the added effect of diaphragmatic breathing and deep breathing exercise in upper abdominal surgery patients. The patient who under went upper abdominal surgery will be recruited randomly using randomisation method and will be given treatment according to their respective groups. Group A will receive diaphragmatic breathing exercise along with conservative treatment, Group B will receive deep breathing exercise along with conservative treatment and Group C will receive diaphragmatic breathing and deep breathing exercise along with the conservative treatment. The treatment will be given fro 7days from post operative day 1. each day 4-6 cycles of breathing exercise for 8 hours in a day. The outcome measures will be taken on the day 1 of the treatment , day 4 and day 7 by the blinded assessor. Primary outcome measure will be pulmonary function test and secondary will be chest expanion using inch tape method and Activity Measure for Post-Acute Care (AM-PAC) “6-Clicks” Inpatient Daily
Activity and Basic Mobility Short Forms.
