Brief Summary
|
The need of study is training stimulus
which facilitates neuro muscular control and speed of responses to perturbation
has potential to enhance over head function. The inclusion of this type of
training may improve synchronisation of muscles contraction to improve function and possibly reduce the risk of injuries. There is a lack of
literature to support the statement. This study is being undertaken to study
the effect of over head perturbation training on performance in elite basket ball players. research hypothesis is over head perturbation training is beneficial in improving performance in elite basketball players. A total 30 number of subjects will screened for the study and based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Subjects will be allocated to experimental and control group by randomized block design. Block randomization will be done according to population of different areas. Prior to treatment we will take baseline measurements of CSKUET and medicine ball throw test. In CSKUET we will measure the dynamic stability of upper extremity and medicine ball throw test will measure the explosive power of upper extremity. All these test will help us to assess the performance of the players. Duration of of the intervention will be 2 days per weeks for 8 weeks. We will take post test measurements of CSKUET, medicione ball throw test to assess that if there is any improvement.
