Group-A Postural training |
Therapist guided postural training conducted in a clinical setting 3 times per week for 6 weeks with each session lasting 30 to 40 minutes. The program includes postural education using visual aids and mirror feedback, ergonomic training to improve screen and sitting habits, mirror or smartphone based posture monitoring, wall posture correction exercises, and verbal and tactile cues such as chin tuck and shoulders back to reinforce proper alignment. |

Group-B Home based exercises |
Home based exercise program performed 3 times per week for 6 weeks with each session lasting 20 to 30 minutes. The program includes stretching of upper trapezius, levator scapulae and pectoral muscles, strengthening exercises such as chin tucks with biofeedback, cervical isometrics and scapular stabilization exercises including rows and I Y T movements. Participants receive ergonomic advice such as holding the phone at eye level and taking regular breaks. Weekly follow up through phone calls is done to monitor progress and encourage adherence. |

Group-C Postural training combined with home based exercises |
Combined program including therapist supervised postural training and home based exercises 3 times per week for 6 weeks with each session lasting 30 to 40 minutes.. The protocol progresses from postural awareness and basic exercises in weeks one to two, to resistance band and dynamic exercises in weeks three to four, and endurance and functional postural control training in weeks five to six. Home exercise diaries are reviewed weekly and ergonomic corrections are provided based on patient submitted photos or videos. |

History of neck pain for more than 4 weeks.
Presence of forward head posture.
Willingness to participate and provide informed consent.

Brief Summary
|
Patients will receive explicit treatment instructions, and a consent form will be signed before the treatment. Patient’s voluntary participation will be appreciated and participants can leave the study anytime without consequences. Patients will be selected on the basis of selection criteria. Patients will be randomly divided (Chit method) into 3 groups. Group A (postural training), Group B (Home Based Exercises) and Group C (postural training and Home based exercises) Three intervention groups addressing text neck syndrome are included in the study; each group follows different protocols to evaluate the impact of the interventions on pain, cervical range of motion (ROM), and functional impairment. Three times a week for six weeks.
Group A focuses on therapist-guided postural training conducted in a clinical setting, with sessions held three times per week, each lasting 30–40 minutes. The intervention includes postural education using visual aids and mirror feedback, ergonomic training to improve screen and sitting habits, mirror or smartphone-based posture monitoring, wall posture correction exercises, and verbal/tactile cues such as “chin tuck” and “shoulders back” to reinforce proper alignment.
Group B follows a home-based exercise program in home setting, with sessions held three times per week, each lasting 20–30 minutes per session, aimed at promoting self-management. This includes stretching exercises for the upper trapezius, levator scapulae, and pectoral muscles; strengthening exercises such as chin tucks with biofeedback, cervical isometrics, and scapular stabilization movements like rows or I,Y,T patterns. Additionally, participants are educated on ergonomic habits like holding the phone at eye level, the 20-20-20 rule, and are encouraged to maintain a weekly symptom log. Follow-ups are conducted weekly via phone calls to monitor progress and provide motivation.
Group C integrates both approaches, combining therapist-supervised postural training from Group A with the independent home-based exercises from Group B. Participants attend three clinic sessions weekly and perform home exercises. The integrated protocol includes progressive loading—starting with basic awareness and exercises in weeks 1–2, introducing resistance bands and dynamic drills in weeks 3–4, and focusing on endurance and multitasking postural control in weeks 5–6. Home diaries are reviewed weekly, and real-time ergonomic adjustments are made using patient-submitted photos or videos to enhance individual outcomes.
