ChatGPT BASED EXERCISE PRESCRIPTION |
Participants in the intervention group will follow an ChatGPT based exercise prescription. The exercises will include bear crawls, wall plank shoulder taps, and quadruped rocking. Each exercise will be done in 3 sets. For the first four weeks, each set will have 10 repetitions. For the remaining weeks, each set will have 15 repetitions. The total duration of intervention is for two months |

Participants in the comparator group will follow a Conventional Exercise Training Program. The exercises will include push-ups in prone position, dips in supine position, and shoulder stabilization exercises in prone position. Each exercise will be performed in 3 sets. During the first four weeks, each set will include 10 repetitions, and during the remaining weeks, each set will include 15 repetitions. The total duration is for two months |

Must have engaged in training for at least 1-2 hours per session,3 times per week,over the preceeding 3-4 weeks

1. Current pain or injury in upper limbs
2. History of orthopedic issues (fractures, joint instability, deformities)
3. Neurological disorders (e.g., stroke, spinal cord injury, nerve damage)
4. Musculoskeletal conditions (e.g., arthritis, myopathy, tendinitis)
5. Recent upper limb surgery (within past 6 months)
7. Use of medications affecting muscle strength or coordination (e.g., steroids, relaxants)
8. Heart or lung disorders affecting physical performance (e.g., asthma, arrhythmias)
9. Uncontrolled health conditions like diabetes or thyroid problems
10. Regular alcohol use or recreational drug use
11. Poor sleep or chronic fatigue affecting strength and endurance
12. Difficulty following instructions due to cognitive limitations
13. History of poor compliance with exercise or training programs
14. Refusal or inability to sign informed consent

Brief Summary
|
This study will compare an AI generated exercise program using ChatGPT with a traditional physiotherapy exercise program. The study is important because AI is routinely used by the general population and recreational athletes for advice on fitness and exercise. This study will help us know if AI generated exercises are safe and helpful for athletes playing at inter-university level.
The study will last for 8 weeks and will have two groups.The traditional exercise group will do exercises like push-ups, supine dips, and shoulder stability exercises derived as per the established exercise protocols. The AI exercise group will do exercises like bear crawls, wall plank shoulder taps, and quadruped rocking which will be prescribed by ChatGPT.
Both groups will follow a similar plan. In the first four weeks, exercises will be done in 3 sets of 10 repetitions. In the last four weeks, exercises will be done in 3 sets of 15 repetitions.
Two tests will be used to see the results. Handgrip strength will be measured using a standardised handgrip measuring equipment.Hanging time will be measured to check how long the body can be held using the arms, which is an important performance parameter in many sporting activities.
This study will help us to know whether AI exercise programs can be used safely. It will also help physiotherapists and trainers by generating exercise protocols when an expert is not always available to prescribe the exercises. |
