1.UNILATERAL LATERAL EPICONDYLITIS
2.PAIN SCORE SHOULD BE 4-8 ON VAS SCORING
3. PRTEE SCORE SHOULD EXCEEDS 40
4.GRIP STRENGTH ON AFFECTED SIDE SHOULD BE LESS THAN 80 PERCENT. |

| Details |
1.History of trauma or surgery to the affected upperlimb.
2.Presence of neurological disorders, such as cervical radiculopathy or peripheral nerve entrapment.
3.Current or recent use (within 4 weeks) of corticosteroid injection or other invasive treatments for lateral epicondylitis.
4.Individual with systemic inflammatory conditions( e.g.,rheumatoid arthritis, lupus).
5.Individuals with metabolic disorders(diabetes,gout)
6.Patients with bilateral lateral epicondylitis.

Brief Summary
|
Lateral epicondylitis is a common overuse injury affecting the wrist extensor tendons, especially in healthcare workers performing repetitive tasks. It leads to pain, reduced grip strength, and difficulty in daily and occupational activities. Recent research shows that chronic tendinopathy also involves changes in the nervous system.Tendon Neuroplastic Training combines strength exercises with externally paced movements to improve motor control.This study aims to evaluate its effectiveness in reducing pain and improving grip strength and functional activities. Clinically
diagnosed unilateral epicondylitis,
confirmed through standard physical examination test cozen’s test and mill’s
test.
These
patients are assigned according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria
Patients
are divided into two groups according to their availability and conveniently
allocated. Both groups receive cryotherapy prior to the treatment procedure for
15 mins.
The
pre-test measures are taken by VAS Scale, PRTEE questionnaire ,handheld
dynamometer and work limitation questionnaire.
A
well explained consent form is given and approval of patients are received
Group
A will receive tendon neuroplastic training(TNT) and conventional exercise.
Group
B will receive conventional exercises only.
The
procedure is well explained to the patients and with precautions and well
designed
treatment procedures is undertaken.
The
post test measures are taken using VAS
Scale, PRTEE questionnaire, handheld dynamometer and work limitation
questionnaire.
The
all values are taken and tabulated and all the values are applied in
statistical formula and all analysis is done and checked. Finally
based on the results of statistical analysis, conclusion regarding the
intervention is made. |
