Brief Summary

Football requires frequent sprinting, jumping, and quick changes in direction, even at the recreational level. These movements depend on speed, agility, and explosive lower-limb strength. Plyometric training is a form of exercise that uses quick stretching and contracting of muscles to improve these physical abilities.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of a six-week plyometric training program on agility, sprint speed, and explosive power in recreational young adult football players. A total of 38 male recreational football players aged 18 to 26 years will be randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group will receive plyometric training twice a week for six weeks, while the control group will continue their regular football and gym routine without plyometric exercises.

Agility, speed, and explosive power will be assessed before and after the intervention using the Agility T-Test, 20-meter sprint test, and standing broad jump test. The findings of this study may help physiotherapists and coaches design effective training programs to improve performance and reduce injury risk in recreational football players.
