Brief Summary   A retrospective study will be conducted to assess the determinants of prolonged ICU stay and their impact on patient outcomes among patients admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi. The study aims to identify the factors responsible for prolonged ICU stay and to evaluate how these factors influence patient outcomes such as mortality, morbidity, and length of hospital stay. The study population will include patients admitted to the ICU during the selected study period who meet the inclusion criteria. Data will be collected retrospectively from medical records using a structured  tool. Variables related to demographic characteristics, clinical conditions, treatment-related factors, and ICU course will be analyzed. The collected data will be analyzed using appropriate descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings of the study are expected to help in identifying key determinants of prolonged ICU stay and their effects on patient outcomes, which may assist healthcare professionals in improving ICU management, planning interventions, and optimizing patient care.
