Brief Summary
|
Physiotherapy plays a vital role in the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of various musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions. Despite its proven benefits, the awareness and utilization of physiotherapy services remain limited in many rural areas. Rural populations often face barriers such as lack of knowledge, limited access to healthcare services, and socioeconomic constraints, which may affect the use of physiotherapy care.
This study aims to assess the knowledge and utilization of physiotherapy services among rural patients attending SMBT Hospital. By evaluating patients’ awareness, understanding, and patterns of physiotherapy service use, the study seeks to identify gaps between knowledge and actual utilization. The findings may help in planning targeted awareness programs, improving service delivery, and enhancing access to physiotherapy services for rural communities |
