Brief Summary
|
This quasi-experimental study compares the effectiveness of plyometric training combined with integrated core-shoulder exercises versus conventional shoulder rehabilitation in overhead athletes with scapular dyskinesia. Sixty recreational overhead athletes are divided into two groups and trained for six weeks. The study evaluates changes in shoulder proprioception, scapular function, and hand grip strength using Kinovea software and a hand-held dynamometer. Overhead athletes are prone to shoulder dysfunction due to repetitive high-velocity movements, leading to poor neuromuscular control and increased injury risk. The integrated approach is based on the kinetic chain concept, targeting both core and shoulder stability. The study aims to identify a more effective rehabilitation strategy to improve function, performance, and injury prevention in overhead athletes. |
