Dynamic Balance Training |
Participants will receive dynamic balance training involving controlled stepping gait related weight shifting obstacle negotiation and multidirectional walking activities aimed at improving dynamic postural control during functional mobility
Dose and Duration
30 minute sessions three times per week for six weeks |

Static Blindfolded Balance Training |
Participants will undergo blindfolded static balance training focusing on maintaining postural stability in various standing positions such as feet together stance tandem stance eyes closed stance and controlled weight shifts without stepping
Training will be conducted under the direct supervision of a qualified physiotherapist to ensure participant safety and prevent falls
Dose and Duration
30-minute sessions three times per week for six weeks

Brief Summary
|
Gait impairment and balance deficits are common problems in geriatric individuals, increasing the risk of falls and functional dependency. Balance training plays a crucial role in improving postural control and gait performance in this population.
This experimental study aims to compare the effectiveness of blindfolded static balance training versus dynamic balance training in improving gait parameters among geriatric patients.
Eligible participants will be randomly allocated into two intervention groups. One group will receive blindfolded static balance training, while the other will undergo dynamic balance training for a specified duration. Outcome measures related to gait and balance will be assessed before and after the intervention.
The findings of this study may help in identifying a more effective balance training approach for improving gait and reducing fall risk in the geriatric population. |
