RAMP positioning for tracheal intubation in obese patients using inflatable ramp |
Eligible obese patients will be randomized to receive airway positioning using inflatable RAMP to achieve alignment of the external auditory meatus with the sternal notch.following positioning , standard anesthetic induction and tracheal intubation using conventional direct laryngoscopy will be performed in both groups.duration of 1 to 2 minutes. |

RAMP positioning for tracheal intubation in obese patients using modified universal RAMP |
Eligible obese patients will be randomized to receive airway positioning using Modified Universal RAMP will be placed under the head, neck, shoulders, and upper torso to achieve alignment of the external auditory meatus with the sternal notch.. Following positioning, standard anesthetic induction and tracheal intubation using conventional direct laryngoscopy will be performed in both groups.intevenrion duration 1 to 2 minutes |

Brief Summary
|
Obese patients present significant challenges during airway management due to altered airway anatomy and reduced functional residual capacity, increasing the risk of difficult laryngoscopy and failed intubation. Ramped positioning improves airway alignment and oxygenation; however, the optimal ramping technique remains uncertain. The MURAMP Trial is a prospective, randomized, active-controlled, parallel-group study designed to compare Modified Universal RAMP and Inflatable RAMP positioning for tracheal intubation using conventional direct laryngoscopy in obese patients undergoing elective surgery. The study aims to evaluate ease of laryngoscopy, quality of glottic visualization, and first-pass intubation success between the two techniques, in order to identify the more effective ramping method for airway optimization in obese population |
