Functional rehabilitation protocol for badminton is a progressive, sport-specific program that restores pain-free ROM, strength, balance, agility, and neuromuscular controL through phased exercises, culminating in badminton-specific drills to ensure a safe return to play and injury prevention.

Thrower’s Ten Program is a systematic shoulder rehabilitation and conditioning protocol consisting of ten progressive exercises targeting the rotator cuff, scapular stabilizers, and forearm muscles, designed to improve strength, endurance, and neuromuscular control for overhead athletes and prevent injury.

Brief Summary
|
The research study compares two rehabilitation programs to determine which one effectively treats overuse shoulder injuries in badminton players. Badminton players perform overhead motions which include smashing and clearing shots that create excessive pressure on their shoulder joints. The Throwers Ten Program provides overhead athletes with a common training method which focuses on muscle strength development but fails to teach badminton players the essential skills required for their sport. The Functional Rehabilitation Protocol for Badminton creates movements which match actual game play while training dynamic shoulder control to achieve superior functional recovery results.The randomized controlled trial will recruit 48 badminton players who are between 18 and 25 years old and have experienced shoulder pain for more than two months along with moderate disability symptoms. The researchers will distribute participants into three groups which include Throwers Ten Program, Functional Rehabilitation Protocol for Badminton and a control group who will receive standard physical activity. The program requires training sessions three times per week which will continue for a period of four weeks.The study will measure shoulder strength through accuracy testing and power testing and stability assessment and endurance evaluation while monitoring pain through shoulder disability index assessment and dynamometry and functional performance testing. The research study will find which program leads to better shoulder function improvements and pain reduction and sports performance enhancement for badminton players. |
