Details  1. Positive Active knee extension test.
2. No hamstring stretching in last 6 months.
3. Pain intensity more than 4 on Numerical Pain Rating Scale.
4. Mild to moderate functional disability as indicated by Modified Oswestry Disability Index Score between 20 to 60 percent.
5. Sedentary lifestyle and prolonged sitting due to academic activities on Global Physical Activity Questionnaire.
 
 
ExclusionCriteria

Brief Summary  
This research study is comparative trial designed to evaluate the effectiveness of core stabilization exercises combined with Positional Release Technique on hamstrings versus core stabilization exercises combined with Muscle Energy Technique on hamstrings in college students aged 18–25 years with non-specific low back pain. A total of 96 participants will be randomly allocated into two groups. Group A will receive core stabilization exercises along with Positional Release Technique on hamstrings, while Group B will receive core stabilization exercises combined with Muscle Energy Technique on hamstrings. The intervention will be administered three sessions per week for three weeks.Non-specific low back pain (NSLBP) is highly prevalent among college-going students due to prolonged sitting, sedentary lifestyle, poor posture, and academic stress. Hamstring muscle tightness and impaired core stability are important contributing factors that alter lumbopelvic biomechanics and increase mechanical stress on the lumbar spine, leading to pain and functional disability. Core stabilization exercises are widely used to improve spinal stability, while manual therapy techniques such as Positional Release Technique (PRT) and Muscle Energy Technique (MET) are effective in reducing hamstring tightness and muscle dysfunction.
Outcome measures will include pain intensity using the Numerical Pain Rating Scale, functional disability using the Modified Oswestry Disability Index, hamstring tightness, core endurance, and lumbar range of motion. The study aims to determine the more effective combined intervention for reducing pain and improving functional outcomes in this population.
