BREATH CONCENTRATION |
The participants will ben asked to sit comfortably and concentrate on their breathing for the time period of 15 minutes |
| Intervention |
moon light meditation |
• The participants were asked to Sit comfortably in any meditative posture. Then they will be asked to take a deep breath in and breath out and to take breath in through nostrils-hold the breath-breath out through mouth.
• They will be told to become aware of their whole body and to take another deep breath in and slowly breath out through nostrils for 2 times.
• The participants will be asked to keep a good smile on their face and to breath in with smile and breath out with smile.
• They will instructed to become aware of the moon and light of the moon , directly or indirectly enveloping them. They will be asked to feel bathing in the moon light and to take a deep breath in and breath out and let go all their tensions and stiffness.
• In the pleasant ambience of moonlight,they will be relaxing their bodies and are instructed to take a deep breath in -hold the breath and breath out to let go all tension in shoulder and arms.
• The participants will be said to feel the light of the moon moving through their body and passing through their body like the light passes through the crystal also the moon light is passing through them either from the front or from the back of the body.
• They will be asked to keep the smile on their face and relax more and more in the soothening light of the moon. Whatever thoughts are coming in their mind just let them come , pleasant thoughts , unpleasant thoughts-welcome all.
• Participants will be told to take long breath in and let goo. Along with breath they will also be instructed to breath in the light of the moon and breath out all tensions. Whatever thoughts coming in their mind just let them come,let go all their efforts and relax.
• As they will be relaxing more and more,their mind relaxes more and more.
• The participants are instructed to let the moonlight occupy every corner of their mind and every cell of their body and also to take a deep breath in and breath out also letting go all their efforts.
• They will be feeling the pleasant rays of the moon showering on their mind,occupying the mind and the body and also feels the cleansing and soothing effect of the moon on their mind with relaxing and letting go with deep breath in and breath out.
• Then slowly and gradually they will be told to become aware of their body and sorroundings.
• At last they will again have a take deep breath in and out for 2 times. With a great feeling of relaxation they will gently open their eyes.

2.Participants experiencing mild to moderate stress (measured using a validated scale)
3.Participants reporting poor sleep quality.
4.Participants who provide written informed consent.

1.Diagnosed anxiety, depression, or other mental health illness which require medical treatment.
2.Current use of sleep medications.
3.Participants who has experienced major past trauma.

Brief Summary
|
This study shows that moon light meditation helps in reducing stress levels and improving sleep quality in young adults. Participants felt more relaxed and experienced better sleep after practicing moon light meditation regularly. Therefore, moon light meditation can be used as a simple and natural method to manage stress and enhance sleep in young adults. |
