i.The head of the family is willing to give informed written consent.
ii.Participants aged 18 years and, irrespective of any gender, socioeconomic status residing in the ST-dominating area.
iii.The household has adequate space within its premises to develop the kitchen garden.
iv.The family is capable of plant care and the sustainability of the plant.
v.Participants should be available for screening, followed by enrollment and periodic follow-up assessments during the study period.

Brief Summary
The World Health
Organisation (WHO) has strongly advocated integrating traditional medicine
systems, including Ayurveda, into primary healthcare frameworks to advance
universal health coverage, promote self-care, and reduce healthcare costs,
particularly in low- and middle-income countries[i],[ii].
The use of medicinal plants as household
remedies, especially through kitchen or home herbal gardens, can be an
important component of Ayurveda-based primary healthcare[iii].
Traditional and complementary medicine have been shown to act as a primary
source of care in underserved regions due to their accessibility and lower cost
burden[iv].
However, there is a paucity of systematic, multicentric impact assessment
studies evaluating the effectiveness of Ayurveda-based lifestyle advocacy and
the utilisation of medicinal plants.
Therefore, a multicentric, community-based, impact assessment study
is designed to generate robust evidence on the impact of Ayurveda-based
lifestyle advocacy and the use of medicinal plants.
