Intervention / Comparator Agent
Type  Name  Details
Intervention  Binaural beats  Binaural beat is a third “beat” frequency (commonly alpha or theta range ) introduced by two slightly different frequencies delivered separately to each ear. These are known to reduce anxiety and pain by influencing brainwave activity.
Intervention  Multilayered binaural beats  Multilayered Binaural Beats are combination of multiple frequency ranges (commonly alpha: 8–12 Hz and theta: 4–8 Hz). Layered sound design with background soothing tones or ambient music designed to enhance brainwave entrainment more effectively than single-frequency binaural beats. Thus potentially reducing both dental anxiety and pain more effectively.
Comparator Agent  Music  Music acts as a distraction technique and may reduce anxiety and perceived pain through emotional soothing and attention diversion.

Brief Summary   The purpose of the present study is to compare the effectiveness of multilayered binaural beats, binaural beats and music in reducing dental anxiety and pain using Venham’s picture test (VPT), Venham’s Clinical Anxiety Scale (VCA), Physiological parameters (HR & SpO2) and Wong baker FACES pain scale, Sound eye motor scale (SEM) respectively during maxillary buccal infiltration injection in children aged 5-8 years
