Brief Summary
|
The 6 min step test is a simple and
practical way to measure a person’s exercise capacity and endurance. It is a
self – paced test, meaning that each person performs it according to their
comfort and ability, without being forced to go faster than they can handle. The
step used in this test is similar in height to an ordinary staircase,
which makes it easier and safer for most
individuals to perform. The purpose of the study is to establish a reference
value for the 6 Minutes Step Test (6MST) among recreational athletes and its
relationship with various anthropometric characteristics such as height, weight, body mass index, and muscle circumference. Developing athlete-specific reference
data will help in better understanding and interpreting individual performance
levels. |
