Brief Summary
|
Volleyball performance depends on physical fitness components such as agility, lower limb explosive power, and flexibility. These abilities are influenced by body composition, including body fat percentage, muscle mass, and BMI. While several studies have examined elite volleyball players, limited research is available on recreational volleyball players. This cross-sectional study aims to determine the correlation between body composition and agility, lower limb explosive power, and flexibility in recreational volleyball players aged 18–26 years. A total of 66 participants will be recruited using convenience sampling. Body composition will be assessed using anthropometric measurements such as height, weight, BMI, waist-hip ratio, skinfold thickness, body density, body fat percentage, fat-free mass, and lean body mass. Agility will be measured using the T-Agility Test, lower limb explosive power using the Vertical Jump Test, and flexibility using the Sit and Reach Test. Data will be analyzed using SPSS software, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient will be used to determine the relationship between variables. The findings may help physiotherapists, coaches, and sports professionals design better training programs to improve performance and reduce injury risk in recreational volleyball players. |
