Brief Summary
|
This study aims to evaluate the effect of yoga and aerobic exercise on blood pressure, cardiopulmonary fitness, and quality of life among individuals with primary hypertension. A total of 30 participants will be included in the study. Participants will be allocated into two groups of equal size. Group I will receive yoga intervention and Group II will receive aerobic exercise intervention for a duration of 4 weeks. Blood pressure will be measured using a sphygmomanometer. Cardiopulmonary fitness will be assessed using the Queen College Step Test to estimate VO2 max. Quality of life will be assessed using the WHOQOL BREF questionnaire. Pre and post intervention measurements will be recorded and compared to determine the effectiveness of both interventions. The findings of this study may help in identifying effective non pharmacological management strategies for individuals with primary hypertension. |
