Intervention  Taekwondo Training of one hour session per week by a certified trainer  Taekwondo techniques aimed to improve core body strength, cardio-respiratory endurance and self-defense skills will be taught to students by a certified trainer, one-hour session per week for eight weeks and participants are encouraged to practice the same for achieving the set goals and maintain fitness levels.

Brief Summary   The study aims to assess the effectiveness of an eight week Taekwondo based intervention on cardiorespiratory endurance and perceived self-defense skills among nursing students studying in a government nursing college in Kerala. The study employs a single arm pre-post design. Assessments will be done at baseline and after eight weeks following the intervention. All ethical principles will be strictly adhered to. The study results will be disseminated by presentations and publication in indexed journals.
