We had conducted a quasi experimental study to assess the effect of nurse led interventions on anxiety level among patients undergoing PET Scan in PGIMER, Chandigarh. The study was conducted in the year of 2025-26.The study identified the effect of nurse led interventions on anxiety level among patients undergoing PET scan for first time. Nurse led interventions had reduced the anxiety of the patients. Their were two groups (control and experimental) in which routine care was provided to control group and nurse led interventions with routine care provided to experimental group. Data was collected using socio-demographic profile, clinical profile, self structured observation behaviour checklist ,visual analog scale of anxiety and PET Self reported anxiety assessment scale of anxiety. The main findings by using these tools showed statistical significant reduction in anxiety level in experimental group after providing nurse led intervention as compare to control group. |
