Primary Outcome
|
| Outcome |
TimePoints |
| Overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) in patients with subtypes of urothelial carcinoma of the bladder, analysed according to histological subtype and treatment modality. |
Overall survival and disease-free survival will be assessed retrospectively from the date of diagnosis or definitive treatment (TURBT or cystectomy) until the date of last follow-up or death, over the entire follow-up period (January 2016 to December 2024). |
|
|
Secondary Outcome
|
| Outcome |
TimePoints |
| Treatment response, subtype-wise & treatment-based oncological outcomes, recurrence patterns, & pathological prognostic factors influencing survival in patients with subtypes of urothelial carcinoma of the bladder. |
Baseline (at diagnosis), & during follow-up at 1 year, 3 years, & 5 years from definitive treatment (TURBT or cystectomy), or until recurrence, last follow-up, or death, whichever occurs first. |

Brief Summary
|
This retrospective, observational study evaluates the management and oncological outcomes of adult patients with subtype urothelial carcinoma of the bladder treated at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai after 1 January 2016. Patients with histologically confirmed variant subtypes of urothelial carcinoma will be included. Clinical, pathological, treatment, and outcome data will be collected from institutional electronic medical records. Outcomes assessed include overall survival, disease-free survival, and recurrence patterns. Subgroup analyses will evaluate outcomes by histological subtype, treatment modality, and use of neoadjuvant chemotherapy. This study aims to enhance understanding of disease behavior and outcomes in subtype urothelial carcinoma of the bladder and support evidence-based management strategies. |
