Brief Summary   My study is to compare the effectiveness of plyometric training versus pilates training in improving explosive muscle strength and running performance in marathon runners it is a quasi experimental study with reacreational marathon runners as target population with 70 as sample size and study technique as random sampling with outcome measures for explosive muscle strength is 20m sprint time and running performance 5 kilometer run test with inclusion criteria as recreational marathon runners aged 18 to 45 years engaged in regular endurance training free from musculoskeletal cardiovascular or neurological disorders with study duration of 6weeks of group A as plyometric training group with exercise protocol like jump sqauts, standing broad jumps etc and group B as pilates training group with exercise protocol like pelvic tilts, supine imprinting, single leg stretch etc both group A and B follow frequency 2 sets with 10 repitions intensity being mild to moderate treatment duration is 3 sessions per week total duration being 6 weeks
