Sensorimotor Training |
The intervention will be delivered for four weeks, five days per week, with each session lasting 30–45 minutes. The protocol consist of a structured sensorimotor training program incorporating warm-up exercises, active and active-assisted range of motion, progressive muscle strengthening, and balance-oriented tasks. Sensorimotor components includes static and dynamic balance training, weight-shifting activities, altered base-of-support exercises, postural control training, proprioceptive stimulation through reaching and stepping tasks, and gait training with emphasis on coordination, symmetry, and functional integration. The program progress from isometric strengthening and supported static balance. Followed by 20 minutes of conventional treatment. |

Task-Specific Training |
Participants in the conventional group will receive task-specific physiotherapy under normal sensory conditions. The program included functional balance and mobility exercises such as sit-to-stand training, stepping activities (forward, backward, and sideways), walking practice, tandem standing and walking, double-leg stance, and single-leg stance, all performed with eyes open on a firm surface. Exercise difficulty will be progressed individually by modifying repetitions and task complexity. Each session will last approximately 20 minutes and will be administered five days per week for four consecutive weeks. Followed by conventional treatment for 20 minutes. |

1. Diagnosed cases of stroke of all genders from the age group of 18 to 75 years who are willing to participate.
2. Ability to maintain a sitting position independently for at least 30 seconds and to stand with or without support for at least 1minute.
3. Mini-Mental State Examination score greater than or equal to 24.
4. Berg Balance Scale score between 21 to 45. |

Brief Summary
|
28 participants with neurological balance impairments will be selected on the basis of inclusion and exclusion criteria and will be randomized into two groups by chit method for task-specific and sensorimotor training. Task-specific training will be delivered for a duration of 20 minutes followed by 20 minutes of conventional treatment and sensorimotor training will be given for 20 minutes followed by 20 minutes of conventional treatment. |
