Young adults will be positively associated with better executive function performance and higher BDNF. Cortisol may show negative association with both cardiopulmonary fitness and executive functions. GABA may show variable association with executive functions and fitness. The study will demonstrate a favorable neurocognitive and neurochemical profile with better cardiopulmonary fitness, highlighting significant correlations among fitness, brain-related neurochemicals, and executive functioning.  Male participants aged between 20-25 years with minimum four years’ regular involvement in physical activity or exercise at least five days in a week for two hours each day were assigned as subjects in this study.

Brief Summary   The proposed study aims to investigate the interrelationships among cardio pulmonary fitness, executive functions, and selected neurochemical variables (BDNF, GABA, and Cortisol) in young adults. using a triangulation research design.With growing evidence linking physical activity to cognitive and neurochemical health, this study seeks to bridge physiological, cognitive, and biochemical perspectives to better understand the holistic impact of regular exercise. This approach aligns with the biopsychosocial model of health, an emergent paradigm in preventive and population medicine that emphasizes the integration of biological, psychological, an social factors in understanding health and illness. By conserdering neurochemical profiles , cognitive functions, and physical activity patterns, the study reflects a holistic framework that is crucial for addressing complex public health challenges and promoting sustainable well- being. 
In this study, a single group of regular exercisers aged 20 to 25 years’ will be included. Cardio pulmonary fitness will be assessed using VO2 Max testing through sandardized treadmill protocols. Executive functions will be measured by using validated neuropsychological tests such as Stroop clor and word test(SCWT), Trail making test (TMT), and Tower oh Hanoi test. Neurochemical variables (BDNF, GABA and Cortisol) will be analysed through blood samples using ELISA kits. The study is grounded in a triangulation methodology, integrating quantitative physiological , cognitive and biochemical data to provide a comprehensive view of how regular activity influences brain function and stress response. It is hypothesized that regular exercise and physical activity will exhibit higher levels of cardiopulmonary fitness, improved executive function performance, increased concentration of BDNF and GABA, and lower cortisol levels.
