Brief Summary   Kshataksheena refers to a condition characterized by pectoral lesions leading to excessive emaciation, as well as depletion of shukra and oja. The condition is described in classical Ayurvedic texts such as Charaka Samhita, Madhava Nidana, Bhavaprakasha, and Yogaratnakara. The term kshata denotes trauma, while ksheena signifies depletion of shukra and oja. Although various Ayurvedic Samhitas describe the clinical features (lakshanas) of Kshataksheena in detail, there is a need to understand the underlying structural changes occurring in the thorax that may be responsible for these manifestations.
