Brief Summary   Shweta Pradara is one of the most common problems faced by the women in India. It is not a disease mentioned as a symptom in various yoni vyapadas. The word Shweta Pradara has not described in Brihatarayee i.e. Charak samhita, Sushruta samhita, Ashtanga hridaya & Ashtanga Sangraha. For white vaginal discharge the word Shweta Pradara has described in Sarangadhara samhita, Bhavaprakash, Yogaratnakar and in commentry on Charak samhita by Chakrapani. The commentator of Charak samhita has explained Shweta Pradara as Pandura Pradara. Shweta Pradara is primarily came by an imbalance of kapha and vata dosha in the body, the discharge per vagina is white in colour hence it is considered due to kapha prakopa though kapha dosha involvement is directly not mentioned in ayurveda. Sushruta and Vagbhatt has also considered kapha as the main dosha responsible for puya and soph respectively. Acharya Charak has already mentioned that any type of yoni rogas doesn’t occur without the involvement of vata dosha. Abnormal vaginal discharge is a frequent complaints of women seen in gynecological clinic it creates irritation in women’s freedom along with the other symptoms like feeling of weakness, pain in the back and calves, pruritus on & around the vulva & thigh etc. It may be physiological hor pathological. Pathological vaginal discharges are actual symptoms of different disease. Any change in the Colour, consistency, amount, odour indicates a vaginal infection. Discharges may be present as purulent, thick, foul smelling, mucoid, blood tinged or watery each suggests a specific underlying infections Hence, understanding this disease from an Ayurvedic point of view and planning an effective treatment modality is the need of the hour. Keeping this in view, it is necessary to explore more appropriate and effective treatments that are relatively more cost-effective without side effects. Therefore, one such attempt was made to using Laghumalini Vasant Rasa to determine its efficacy in treating the disease Shweta Pradara..
