Intervention / Comparator Agent
Type  Name  Details
Comparator Agent  Conventional therapy Duration - 6 weeks  Participants in the control group will undergo a 6-week scapular stabilization exercise program aimed at improving scapular control, muscle strength, and shoulder function. These exercises are designed to activate key stabilizing muscles such as the trapezius, rhomboids, and serratus anterior, which are essential for maintaining proper scapular positioning during overhead movements. Frequency: 3 sessions per week Intensity: Moderate Repetitions: 3 sets of 15 repetitions per exercise
Intervention  Corrective Exercises for Scapular dyskinesis Duration - 6 weeks  Participants in the intervention group will undergo a structured 6-week corrective exercise program designed to improve scapular mechanics and reduce pain associated with scapular dyskinesis. The protocol is divided into three progressive phases, each lasting two weeks, with exercises targeting scapular stabilization, muscle activation, and neuromuscular control. Frequency: 3 sessions per week Intensity: Moderate Repetitions: 3 sets of 15 repetitions per exercise

Brief Summary   This randomized controlled trial investigates the effectiveness of selected corrective exercises compared to the conventional therapy which are the scapular stabilization exercises in male cricket players aged 18–25 years diagnosed with scapular dyskinesis. The study aims to evaluate improvements in pain, scapular function, and athletic performance over a 6-week intervention period. Participants will be randomly assigned to either a corrective exercise group or a conventional therapy group, with both protocols administered thrice weekly. Outcome measures include scapular dyskinesis (LSST), pain scores (NPRS), throwing accuracy (FTPI), and throwing distance (ULEPT). The findings will contribute to evidence-based rehabilitation strategies for overhead athletes, enhancing performance and reducing injury risk.
