To assess the awareness, perception, and prescription pattern analysis at Jan Aushadhi Kendra of a tertiary care hospital in western Uttar Pradesh.
OBJECTIVES Primary Objective: 1. To evaluate the level of awarenessandperception about Jan Aushadhi Kendra of a tertiary care hospital in western Uttar Pradesh. 2. To analyse the prescription pattern at Jan Aushadhi Kendraof a tertiary care hospital in western Uttar Pradeshaccording to Prescription Pattern Analysis Scale. Secondary Objective: 1. To evaluate theutilization of Jan AushadhiKendra. 2. To study referral pathway

OPERATIONAL DEFINITION: • Jan Aushadhi Kendra (JAK) refers to government-run pharmacies under PMBJP providing generic medicines at 50–90% lower cost than branded drugs. • Awareness is defined as patient knowledge about JAKs; • Perception refers to their views on quality and safety of generics; • Prescription pattern is evaluated via WHO indicators. Despite 15,000+ JAKs nationwide, studies show awareness levels remain below 50% in several regions, indicating underutilization.
6. HYPOTHESIS There is no significant relationship between the awareness, perception, and prescription pattern at Jan Aushadhikendras of a tertiary care hospital in western Uttar Pradesh.
7. DELIMITATIONS Geographical Delimitation-This study is confined to a Jan Aushadhi Kendra of a tertiary care hospital of western Uttar Pradesh, which may not represent the awareness, perception and prescription pattern analysis to other partsof state or country Sample size-A defined number of samples will be taken based on hospital inflow. |
