Modification(s)

This study was a standard controlled clinical evaluation of Durdhuradi Taila in Darunak. The study was conducted on 100 patients who were recruited from the OPD/IPD of the Department of Shalakya Tantra, Patanjali Bhartiya Ayurvigyan Evam Anusandhan Sansthan, Haridwar.

The selected patients were divided into two groups. Group A consisted of 50 patients who were administered Durdhuradi Taila topically, while Group B consisted of 50 patients who were administered Ketoconazole shampoo topically. The treatment was administered for the prescribed duration, followed by two follow-up assessments at an interval of one month after completion of treatment.

The assessment was carried out on the basis of subjective parameters, as described earlier, to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the respective interventions in the management of Darunak.
