Brief Summary
|
Stress Induced Hyperglycemia is found in patients undergoing surgical procedure and is increasingly associated with worse outcomes like increased mortality, longer ICU stays, greater risk of infections, and multi-organ dysfunction but it needs further research to ascertain that stress induced by surgery can cause stress induced hyperglycemia.
