Firstly anal canal and perianal area will be cleaned with antiseptic lotion. Proctoscopic examination will be done for confirmation of number and position of Arsha. These Arsha wil be made to protude in the slit proctoscope. After that Kshar will be applied with spatula on Arsha and then we will wait for 100 matrakal (2 minutes). Then the applied Kshar will be washed with nimbu swara. After the process, Arsha will become reddish brown ( Pakwajambuphal Sadrishya) in colour. It shows Samyak Lakshana of Kshar Lepa. Same procedure will be repeated on other mass of Arsha, if present. 3 sitting will be given at 7 days interval )

Details  • Patients of age group between 16-70 years.
• Patients who are suffering from second and third degree of haemorrhoids will be considered for this study.  
 
ExclusionCriteria 
Details  • I and IV degrees of piles.
• Arsha associated with carcinoma rectum, thrombosed & strangulated
piles, rectalprolapse, fistula in ano and fissure in ano.
• Hepatitis-B, HIV and HCV positive cases.
• Patients having uncontrolled systemic disease such as hypertension,
diabetesmellitus etc.,malignancy of any organ and pregnant women will
also be excluded.

Brief Summary  

Selected drug: Apamarga Kshar and Palasha Kshar


Form of medicine: Kshar will be applied in the form of Kshar Lepa as explained in the classical text


 Composition of medicine: Apamarga Panchang, Palasha Patra


 Preparation of medicine: Apamarga Kshar and Palasha Kshar will be prepared according to the classical views.


 Dose of medicine: Kshar paste will be applied on each pile mass according to its size with protection of normal mucosa
