Brief Summary
|
The cosmetic industry is experiencing a rapid shift toward cosmeceuticals, the fastest growing segment of natural personal care. Plant-based extracts are increasingly being used in formulations, while animal-derived ingredients are losing public acceptance due to safety and ethical issues.
Modern consumers are showing a strong preference for Ayurvedic and herbal products, which are valued for their superior qualities, minimal side effects, and holistic approach to wellness. Although many body creams available in the market are marketed as natural, organic, or herbal, the majority still contain synthetic bases, emulsifiers, perfumes, and other chemical additives, which may reduce their long-term safety and effectiveness.
Within herbal cosmetics, Ayurvedic night body creams have emerged as an important category, providing deep nourishment and rejuvenation during the body’s natural repair cycle at night. These formulations, prepared entirely from herbs and natural oils, are designed to moisturize, restore skin vitality, reduce dryness, delay signs of aging, and promote an even skin tone.
The present study is undertaken to develop and evaluate an Ayurvedic body cream intended for night-time use, focusing on its ability to nourish, hydrate, and rejuvenate the skin. The study also aims to assess the efficacy and safety of this Ayurvedic formulation compared to conventional synthetic night creams. |
